豪華チャリティ・コンピ「Dark Was The Night」の詳細が明らかに。

（1月18日追記）MySpace.com - Dark Was the Nightで試聴できる曲が増えてますね。追加されたのは、Feistとベン・ギバートのデュエット「Train Song」。うーん、これは良い曲。

12日にMerge Recordsの20周年記念ボックスを買うか買うまいか悩んでましたが、このコンピにもかなり惹かれます。

リリースが昨年末から告知されていたコンピレーション・アルバム「Dark Was The Night」の収録曲が、先日明らかになりました。「Red Hot Organization」というエイズ関連の国際的な団体によるプロジェクトだそうで、日本語の公式ウェブサイトを見てみたら「機関設立20周年目にリリースされる、記念すべき作品」とのこと。きてますね、20周年。

参加したミュージシャンたちはというと…
The Kronos Quartet、The Decemberists、Iron & Wine、Sufjan Stevens、Arcade Fire、My Morning Jacket、The New Pornographers、Yo La Tengoに加えて、FeistとDeath Cab For Cutieのベン・ギバード、Blonde RedheadとDevastationsなどがそれぞれコラボレーションで参加。今月に入ってDIARYで紹介したばかりのBon Iverや、Andrew Birdまで。
