詩と韻が紡ぐ世界を味わうこと

「チバユウスケ詩集 ビート」 / チバユウスケ

チバさんて今年40歳なんですね。トム・ヨークと一緒だ。

ぱらぱらと斜め読みしてみましたが、詩集なので中身はごくシンプルなレイアウト。直筆のノート（イラスト付き）の写真あり。
ミッシェルは当時は好きでけっこう聴いていました。何が良いって、余計なものがない歌詞、それにその歌詞を歌い上げるのに相応しすぎるあの歌声ね。唯一無二。今の今まで、歌詞集が出ていなかったのが不思議です。

公式の歌詞集が出ていないといえば、Radioheadもそうだ。そういえば確か、以前出す話があったけれども結局うやむやに・・・ってのは己の記憶違い？
普段はほとんど立ち入らないmixiのRadioheadコミュニティで、Idiotequeの歌詞を調べてるトピックが盛り上がっている模様。Kid A、Amnesiacの歌詞は公式に発表されていないから（多分）、海外サイトで参考にするのが普通なのだけど、これもドンピシャというわけにはいかない。元々トムの発音は明瞭ではないし、歌詞も演奏時期でたまに変わることがあった。（I mIght be wrongとか）

で話題のIdiotequeですが、これはKid Aの中でも一番の問題児。意味が掴めそうで掴めない。それで皆、詮索の鬼になっちゃう訳ですね。ブックレットにわざと歌詞を載せず、しかも「歌詞は拾った言葉を書いた紙を適当に帽子のなかに入れて、ランダムに選んだもの」などとまでトムが言ってるのだから、分析とか深読みとかしないで、詩と韻が紡ぐイメージを感じ取ってほしいってことじゃないのかな、と己は思います。

とかいいつつ、もうとっくにIdiotequeの翻訳は済ませちゃってるわけで。すんません。

このビデオは、Idiotequeのオフィシャルビデオ3本のうち、故意に画像を荒くしたビデオで、MTVなどではpixel versionと紹介されています。英文歌詞は、最後のHere I'm aliveという部分がファンサイトによってはHere I'm allowedと表記されている。己にはaliveと聴こえるのでAt Easeの方を採用。
